Terms of Service

The agreement between us when you book a job.

Booking and pricing

The price shown when you book is calculated from the answers you give about the vent. It is the price we will charge, provided what we find matches what you described.

Two items are quoted conditionally and confirmed on site before any work happens: the $40 charge for a duct run over 25 feet, and the $225 charge to replace a failed or non-compliant exterior hood. If the vent turns out to be materially different from what you described — a second dryer we did not know about, a run twice as long, ductwork that has to be opened up — we will stop and tell you the revised price before continuing. You can decline, and we will charge nothing beyond what was already agreed.

Payment

Nothing is charged when you book. You choose how to pay at booking: by card, in cash, or by Venmo. If you pay by card it is saved and verified at that point but not charged; we charge it after the work is complete and email a receipt automatically, and if the charge fails we will send a Stripe invoice payable within seven days. Cash and Venmo are settled with the crew on the day. Where a deposit has been taken, only the outstanding balance is charged on completion.

Access

We need to reach the dryer and the exterior vent. Please clear a path to both, secure any pets, and let us know about gate codes or parking restrictions when you book. If we cannot access the work on arrival and cannot reach you, we may have to reschedule.

Cancelling and rescheduling

There is no charge to cancel or reschedule. Call (508) 593-7643 and we will move it. We ask for as much notice as you can give, because on a one-truck schedule an empty window usually cannot be refilled the same day.

Arrival windows

You book a two-hour window rather than an exact time, because a job that runs long should not turn into us arriving at your door in a hurry. We text you when we are on the way. If we are going to miss the window we will call.

What the work covers

A cleaning covers the dryer vent duct run, the connection at the appliance, and the exterior termination. It does not include repair of the dryer itself, work on any other ducting in the building, or structural work to reach a concealed run. Where a repair is needed we will quote it separately and only proceed with your agreement.

Condition of existing ductwork

Duct that is already crushed, corroded, disconnected inside a wall, or improperly installed can fail during cleaning. We will always tell you when we can see a run is in poor condition before starting, and you can decide whether to go ahead. We are not liable for pre-existing damage to ductwork that fails in the course of ordinary cleaning where that condition was flagged to you first.

Annual Safety Plan

The plan is $215 a year, billed annually, and covers one Basic Clean each year plus priority booking and ten percent off additional services. You can cancel at any time and it will not renew; the current year is not refunded once the clean has been carried out.

Commercial and condo association work

Wholesale per-unit pricing requires a minimum of ten cleanings. Buildings are scheduled as a block and invoiced per building. Access arrangements for individual units are the property manager’s responsibility; units we cannot access on the scheduled day are rescheduled and billed only once completed.

Liability

We carry liability insurance and will make good any damage we cause. Our liability for any single job is limited to the amount paid for that job, except where the law does not permit that limit.

Photographs

We photograph the work — this is how we show you what came out of your vent, and on a Premium Clean you get before and after photos of the run. Photographs never identify you, your address, or any part of your property beyond the ductwork itself. If you would prefer we did not photograph the job at all, just say so.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
